The 2015 APEC Conference on Promoting Innovative and High Value-added Bio-product Production Technologies for Sustainable Development and 10th Asia Biohydrogen and Biorefinery Symposium (APEC-BPT/ABBS-2015) will be held during September 21-24, 2015 in Ken-ting, Pingtung, Taiwan with a theme of “Sustainable Development and Advanced BioHydrogen Technologies”.

The Asia BioHyLinks (ABHL) was established in 2006 to enhance the multilateral understanding of the biohydrogen research among the Asian countries. ABHL has organized nine annually symposium around the Asia countries: Taichung (Taiwan), Daejeon (Korea), Harbin (China), Khon Kaen (Thailand), Bogor (Indonesia), Chongqing (China), Osaka (Japan), Melaka (Malaysia). Coming 2015 (10th) symposium will be held at Kenting, Taiwan organized by Feng Chia University with conjunction of APEC Conference and Short-term Training Course on Bio-product Production Technologies.

These Symposia are a specially designed cluster conference, which covers a wide range of critically important themes from Sustainable Development and Advanced BioHydrogen Technologies. It aims to become one of the region’s largest events of 2015 in the field of Sustainable Development and Advanced BioHydrogen Technologies. These Symposia provide a great opportunity to share in what has happened, be part of what is happening and influence the future direction in one of the fastest growing industry sectors and make new friends.

The best papers presented in APEC-BPT/ABBS-2015 will be considered for publication in international prestigious journals.

For further information on registration and online submission of abstracts, please visit the official website of the symposium at http://www.apec-abbs2015.org

In addition to the outstanding program, you will be able to enjoy the culture and sights of Ken-ting, Pingtung, one of the most beautiful seashore cities in Taiwan. There are many excursions to suit your interests. September is a wonderful time to visit, and we encourage you to extend your trip and get to know the rest of Taiwan as well. Please forward this message to those who may be interested. We look forward to seeing you in Ken-ting, Taiwan in the coming September.

The Asia BioHyLinks (ABHL) association was established to enhance the multilateral understanding of biohydrogen research among the Asian countries. The objective of the ABBS is to develop a blue-print for hydrogen production from biomass, which includes dark fermentation, photo-fermentation, gas upgrading, system integration, and related subjects as logistics, societal integration, and education. The ABHL association also organizes an Annual Symposium to promote technical and scientific exchange in the fields of bio-hydrogen processes between the academic and industrial sectors in the Asian countries.

The 2014 symposium is called Asia Biohydrogen and Biorefinery (ABB) Symposium with as theme “Strengthening Opportunities for Biohydrogen and Biorefinery”.  Hence, this symposium offers a focus not only limited to biohydrogen field but also including the biorefinery approach. This integration will provide a competitive advantages since it targets for maximum efficiency in biomass utilization to optimize the production of renewable energy such as biohydrogen and other carbonaceous chemicals.

Objectives:
1.To strengthen asian network in biohydrogen and biorefinery.
2.To share advances in biohydrogen and biorefinery research and development worldwide.
